Impressive mountains, rugged valleys, mountain lakes crystal clear streams, meadows, fields and excursion destinations that will take your breath away. This is what a region nestling in the mountains to the north of the Alps is like. Every valley is different in some way and has its own special charm. All have one thing in common – the air here is particularly 'good and healthy'. You will feel it as you fall into bed in the evening, tired and satisfied. Your sleep will be deeper than ever before and in the morning your tummy will grumble all the more than it does at home. And that's no bad thing . . .
In earlier times life in the mountains was hard and onerous. Therein perhaps lies the reason of the often straightforward manner of Pinzgau people. In times past people did not have a lot; everything they needed they made themselves. Old artisan techniques were proudly handed down from generation to generation. We always try to incorporate as much artisan crafts into our hotel as we can, because we like working with our hands ourselves. Because it suits us. And because a great deal of traditional energy flows in our rooms.
